MixUp Control

This section explains how to connect and control hardware with MixUp Control App. The instructions apply to iPhone, iPad, Android phones, and Android tablets. The position of the system Back button and the appearance of permission dialogs may vary, but section names and workflows are the same.

Screenshots were taken in the app’s built-in demo mode separately on iOS and Android. They show a localized interface; the controls appear in the same positions when the app uses English.

Supported devices

  • MixUp White — dimmable white continuous light.
  • MixUp Pixel v1 — RGB lighting with built-in effects and effect-speed control.
  • MixUp Backlight v2 — brightness, RGB color, effects, and effect-speed control.
  • Spinner360 — rotating platform with speed, acceleration, and safe stop on BLE disconnect.
  • GlamBot — robotic camera with scenes, poses, 3D preview, and safety systems.
  • Group control and Action scenes — switch the entire setup between Waiting and Recording states at once.

Basic connection workflow

  1. Power on the hardware.
  2. On the MixUp Control App start screen, tap Find Devices.
  3. Select one or more hardware types. If you select nothing, the app searches for every supported type.
  4. Tap Search Selected or Search All Devices.
  5. Allow the app to use Bluetooth.
  6. In the list of discovered hardware, tap Connect next to each device.
  7. After at least one device connects, tap Open Dashboard.

The app supports multiple simultaneous connections. You do not need to return to discovery after connecting each device: connect the entire setup first, then open the dashboard.

Main sections

  • Devices — manual controls for every connected device and quick group controls.
  • Scenes — the Waiting and Recording work states plus custom saved scenes.
  • Diagnostics — connection status and controller communication, primarily for testing and service.

Important safety rule

Lighting and screen content can be restored automatically. Physical movement of Spinner360 and GlamBot is never started automatically after reconnection. The app requires operator confirmation before starting movement or moving to a pose.
