Control the platform from your phone

You can control our platforms from mobile apps — all platforms from the middle of 2022 come with a Bluetooth option.

Mobile apps

We have integrations with Snappic and Touchpix to control the platform and record videos. These apps require a subscription.
We also have our own free mobile app for iPhone and Android, used for platform control only. It’s named Spinner-360.
There’s also a Scene Controller app for laptops — see the guide about it.

If you have an older platform version, you can replace the controller to make it Bluetooth-compatible. You can buy it here, and follow our controller replacement guide.

Control an older platform by cable (Android)

If you have an older platform and want to control it from your phone, this section is for you. It shows how to control the “DZEN TECH Spinner360” platform with an Android phone connected by cable. This can help if you need to start/stop or change the speed of the platform without a laptop and the original app.

What you need

Any Android phone (we tested it on a Xiaomi Mi A3)
A USB-OTG adapter for your phone (check which USB type your phone uses)
The Serial USB Terminal app for Android: Google Play
The configuration file for the app

How to connect

Download the app on your phone.
Download the configuration file on your phone.
Connect the platform to the phone with the USB-OTG adapter (a USB extender cable also works). Don’t forget to power up the platform.
Run the Serial USB Terminal app.
Tap the 3 dots in the top-right corner → Configuration → Import.
Choose the downloaded configuration file.
Tap the Connect icon at the top of the app.
If you see “Connected to CP210x device”, your phone is connected to the platform and ready to control it.

At the bottom of the app you’ll see 6 buttons:

Start/Stop — start and stop the platform.
20 / 40 / 60 / 80 % — set the rotation speed.
Stop — this button only stops the platform.

All set! Now you can control the platform from your phone.
