GlamBot
GlamBot is a 6-axis robotic camera arm. MixUp drives it through scenes — sequences of arm poses — to create sweeping slow-motion shots around a guest.
How it connects
Section titled “How it connects”The arm connects to the booth PC over one of several interfaces:
- USB / UART
- Bluetooth
- RS-232
- AUX (Ethernet)
If the arm isn’t reachable you’ll see “Robot arm not connected”. See Connect & home the arm.
Key concepts
Section titled “Key concepts”- Pose — one arm position (6 axes), with a Speed, acceleration, and a timeout before moving to the next pose.
- Scene — an ordered list of poses the arm plays as one move. Scenes can be stored on the Robot Arm or on the MixUp App.
- Homing — the arm must find its home position before it can move. States go Not homed → Homing → Homed.
- Safety systems — collision pause/stop, limit switches, home-switch sync, and the E-Stop kill switch.
Two topics
Section titled “Two topics”- Connect & home the arm — interface, connection, homing, and safety.
- Scenes & the editor — built-in scenes, the Scenes Editor, poses, and assigning a scene to a project.
