Local AI

Most AI runs in the cloud. One mode can run on the booth PC itself: Deep Fake.

The on-device settings (CPU/GPU, quality, delay) and the model download live on the Local Render tab.

Only Deep Fake (photo) has a local path. When enabled, the face swap runs on the booth’s GPU (DirectML / ONNX models) instead of uploading to the AI service.

  • No internet needed for the render itself.
  • Costs no coins — local Deep Fake is free.
  • AI Chromakey can also run locally in real time on a modern PC (built-in, free); Ai Painter, the external models, and all video are cloud only.
  • See AI Photo templates for the AI Chromakey mode.
  1. Create a Deep Fake template (see Photo AI modes).
  2. Turn on Local Ai Render (“process this Deep Fake template locally with DirectML instead of sending it to the Ai server”).
  3. If the models aren’t installed yet, use Download Ai models — the app fetches and unpacks the local model set. Watch for the download to finish and models to report ready.
  • Poor or no venue internet — local keeps Deep Fake working offline.
  • Cost control — local renders don’t spend coins.
  • Privacy — the photo isn’t uploaded for that render.

Trade-off: local quality depends on the booth PC’s GPU and the app’s local-quality setting, and only Deep Fake is supported. For every other look, use the cloud modes.
