Local AI
Most AI runs in the cloud. One mode can run on the booth PC itself: Deep Fake.
The on-device settings (CPU/GPU, quality, delay) and the model download live on the Local Render tab.
What runs locally
Section titled “What runs locally”Only Deep Fake (photo) has a local path. When enabled, the face swap runs on the booth’s GPU (DirectML / ONNX models) instead of uploading to the AI service.
- No internet needed for the render itself.
- Costs no coins — local Deep Fake is free.
- AI Chromakey can also run locally in real time on a modern PC (built-in, free); Ai Painter, the external models, and all video are cloud only.
- See AI Photo templates for the AI Chromakey mode.
Enable local Deep Fake
Section titled “Enable local Deep Fake”- Create a Deep Fake template (see Photo AI modes).
- Turn on Local Ai Render (“process this Deep Fake template locally with DirectML instead of sending it to the Ai server”).
- If the models aren’t installed yet, use Download Ai models — the app fetches and unpacks the local model set. Watch for the download to finish and models to report ready.
When to use it
Section titled “When to use it”- Poor or no venue internet — local keeps Deep Fake working offline.
- Cost control — local renders don’t spend coins.
- Privacy — the photo isn’t uploaded for that render.
Trade-off: local quality depends on the booth PC’s GPU and the app’s local-quality setting, and only Deep Fake is supported. For every other look, use the cloud modes.
