Troubleshooting: printer

  • Try a different cable.
  • Install the printer’s drivers.
  • Use a different USB port on the booth.

MixUp lists every printer connected to your laptop when you create a print option — so if the printer isn’t in that list, it’s a cable, driver or port problem.

Set up the printer in the software

The printer is connected but doesn’t print

Section titled “The printer is connected but doesn’t print”

In MixUp, printing runs on print options — a saved set of settings for a chosen printer, assigned to a project. If nothing prints, check that:

  • a print option exists for your printer and is assigned to the current project — Print settings;
  • printing is enabled in the booth (the print button or autoprint) — Printing in the booth.

Use the Print test in Print settings to confirm the option works before the event.

If prints come out cropped, or with a white strip at an edge, tune the scale and margins of the print option: MixUp → Print settings → your option → Scale and margins. Run a Print test and adjust until it prints exactly right.
