General
The General tab holds settings that apply across all booth modes (with rare exceptions).
Administrator passcode
Section titled “Administrator passcode”A 4-digit PIN asked when entering admin mode or trying to open the settings menu. We strongly recommend enabling it and setting a passcode for events. Set it with Edit; the eye button shows or hides the passcode.
- Show “Admin lock” button — a lock icon in the top header showing whether the booth is locked (guest) or unlocked (admin). An open lock means admin mode (all settings available); locked shows the lock. You can hide the icon so it isn’t shown in the locked/guest state. In admin mode the header and all icons are always visible. (Admin mode = after you’ve entered the PIN.)
The booth theme sets colors, corner rounding, frame sizes, window and button borders, the pressed-button color, normal-button color, input-field color, and window/background color. Start from a standard theme and adjust it — a great way to match the booth to your client’s brand for the event.
Session Timeout
Section titled “Session Timeout”If the booth sits idle on a screen (a guest walked away), it returns to the Start screen after this time. It applies everywhere — sharing, selection screens, the gallery, and so on. For example, 15 seconds with no interaction → back to Start. It does not apply while admin mode is active.
Show header
Section titled “Show header”The header carries status and helper buttons (so the operator can see what’s happening) plus guest labels like “choose a background”, “choose a template”, “choose what to shoot”, “choose a capture mode (photo/video)”, or “go to the gallery”. You can hide it, but note: hiding the header also hides the Cancel button, and the lock and status won’t be visible.
Hide the Cancel button
Section titled “Hide the Cancel button”You can hide the Cancel button separately — except in the gallery (otherwise there’d be no way out of the gallery). This stops a guest from canceling a session that’s already underway, so it runs to the end.
Mode & template selection
Section titled “Mode & template selection”- Show template names — shows template names under their previews, and the mode name (Photo / Video / Gallery). Turn it off to show icons only.
- Random template selection — with a mode selected and random + auto-select on, the app picks from the available templates itself (for example an available photo template, and if there’s an AI template choice inside, it also picks the AI template and its processing). You can instead make it a button — it appears as an extra “project” that runs a random pick of project and templates when tapped.
On-screen keyboard
Section titled “On-screen keyboard”Show on-screen keyboard — we strongly recommend leaving this on (it’s rarely not needed). This is the guest-mode keyboard, drawn in the booth’s theme — not the Windows keyboard.
Open Edit for the On-screen keyboard popup with three sections:
- Text — choose which layouts (languages) the guest can switch between.
- Email — add quick buttons (domains like
.com,.net, or@gmail.com) that appear beside the keyboard for fast entry — fewer mistakes with the@and dots. - Phone — add country codes for the combo-box next to the number field. For

+1for US so guests don’t type it. For international events, add more codes.
