Wireless cameras
Wireless cameras connect over Wi-Fi. This page covers the Garmin VIRB 360 and the shared Wireless Camera Connection settings. GoPro has its own page — see GoPro.
Wireless Camera Connection settings
Section titled “Wireless Camera Connection settings”Open Wireless Camera Connection and set:
- WiFi Adapter — the adapter on the booth PC that connects to the camera.
- WiFi Name — the camera’s network name (SSID).
- WiFi Password — the camera’s Wi-Fi password.
- Auto Connect — reconnect automatically using the details above.
Then use Connect (or Scan for devices to find the camera). The app’s tooltip sums it up: it connects to the camera automatically using the specified SSID, password, and selected Wi-Fi adapter.
Garmin VIRB 360
Section titled “Garmin VIRB 360”Enter the Garmin VIRB 360’s Wi-Fi name and password in the settings above and Connect.
If a wireless camera won’t connect
Section titled “If a wireless camera won’t connect”- Confirm the chosen WiFi Adapter is the one that can reach the camera’s network.
- Double-check WiFi Name and WiFi Password.
- Keep the camera close and powered; a weak signal or timeout drops the connection (“Connection timeout”).
- Use Scan for devices to re-discover the camera, then Connect again.
