Bluetooth setup

If you bought the platform in July 2022 or later, a Bluetooth controller is already installed.

Download the Bluetooth control software (Scene Controller) from this link.

If you can’t connect or the connection is unstable, update your Bluetooth drivers. You can install the Intel Driver & Support Assistant to keep them up to date. We also recommend bringing a USB cable to your event as a backup.

Enable the connection and find DT-Spinner 360 in the list of available connections.

  • If you don’t see it, check the platform is plugged in. Try unplugging it, wait 5 seconds, and plug it back in.
  • If you still don’t see it, open your laptop’s Bluetooth connections, press Add new deviceBluetooth → select DT-Spinner 360. It will then also appear in our app.
  • If it’s still missing, check that both your laptop and the platform support Bluetooth.

The app works with the Yongnuo YN-360 III. We can’t confirm whether it works with other Yongnuo light sources.

Enable it and find one of the Yongnuo light sources in the list. Select the channel (in our case, channel 2 — CH2). All light sources must be connected to the same channel.

There are two settings: one for Standby mode (when the platform isn’t spinning) and one for on-action scenes (when it spins). For energy-saving mode, we use RGB mode → Blackout for Standby. We like using purple as the on-action colour. If you select white, you can also set the brightness.

This works only if you have an LED platform (not all models).

Press Enable and find your platform’s LED controller, SP105E. There are two settings: one for Standby mode and one for on-action scenes. For energy-saving mode, we use RGB mode → Blackout for Standby. We prefer rainbow scenes for on-action (scenes 1–10).

This is used for the GoPro 8 and 10, so you can turn on their Wi-Fi automatically (without the mobile app). You don’t need it for the GoPro 5, 6 or 7.
