Printing in the booth
There are two ways a photo prints during a guest session: the print button and autoprint.
The print button
Section titled “The print button”The guest prints by pressing the print button. It works in one of two ways:
- Guest chooses copies — you set a number of copies (say, 2). When the guest presses print, they see a + / − box to add or remove a print up to that number.
- Fixed copies — pressing print immediately prints exactly the number you set (say, 2), no choice.
In both cases, the set number is also the print limit for the session — so guests can’t run off endless copies and burn through your paper.
Content priority
Section titled “Content priority”Content priority decides which image prints when a session has more than one — for example an original photo (shown in sharing) and an AI-processed photo. It applies to both the print button and autoprint.
- AI photo priority — if an AI-processed photo exists, it prints; if there’s no AI result, the normal photo prints instead.
- Original priority — the original photo prints.
- No priority (all photos) — the guest chooses which photo to print.
Print from the gallery
Section titled “Print from the gallery”A checkbox lets guests print from the booth gallery — it activates the print button in the gallery. It’s available as long as the session still has prints left (within the limit above). The gallery itself is covered separately (see Run your first session).
Autoprint
Section titled “Autoprint”Autoprint sends the photo to the printer without the guest pressing anything. It can be set up in one of these ways:
- Off — no autoprint.
- On “Done” in sharing — the guest goes through the session to the sharing screen and autoprint fires when they press Done, or when sharing times out and exits.
- On entering sharing — the photo is sent to print the moment the sharing screen opens.
Autoprint also has its own content priority (same choices as above) and number of copies.
