Connect & home the arm
1. Connect the arm
Section titled “1. Connect the arm”In Glambot options, choose the interface the arm uses (USB/UART, Bluetooth, RS-232, or AUX/Ethernet) and connect. The Glambot State Window and Glambot Device Info show connection and device status.
If you see “Robot arm not connected”, check the cable/adapter and that the arm is powered.
2. Home the arm
Section titled “2. Home the arm”The arm must be homed before it can move. Start homing and wait for the state to reach Homed (Not homed → Homing → Homed). Until then, scenes won’t play.
3. Safety systems
Section titled “3. Safety systems”Keep these enabled. They stop or pause the arm to prevent damage or injury:
- E-Stop — the emergency kill switch; the arm stops immediately.
- Collision pause / stop — reacts to a detected collision.
- Limit switches — stop the arm at its travel limits.
- Home-switch sync — stops if the home reference is out of sync.
- Interface timeout — stops if it loses communication with the PC.
The app also reports hardware problems (no connection with arm, cable not connected, brakes feedback, power under limit) in the state window.
Common connection/motion problems

| Cable not connected / no connection | Hardware link problem | Check the arm cabling and power bus. |
