You don’t need top-of-the-line cameras for this photo booth.

In our own setup we use a used Canon 1100D (also known as the Rebel T3), which we bought for $100–150. Other popular camera models for a multi-camera array are the Canon 1200D (Rebel T5), 1300D (Rebel T6), and 2000D (Rebel T7).

These models are guaranteed to work with all the well-known programs, and the dummy batteries in our Bullet Time will fit them. For any other camera, check with the software manufacturer whether it is supported.

Note

In most cases the dummy batteries can be swapped easily — you’ll just need to order the matching ones on Amazon.

Which laptop to choose

It’s best to ask your software manufacturer about the minimum specs.

For the AI workflow used in our current multi-camera setup, the recommended requirements are:

• 1–15 cameras: at least 16 GB RAM, an Nvidia GTX 1050 or higher (or an RTX with at least 4 GB VRAM), and a Core i7 (10th generation or newer).
• 16 or more cameras: at least 24 GB RAM, an Nvidia GTX 1050 or higher (or an RTX with at least 4 GB VRAM), and a Core i7 (10th generation or newer).

Cables

These cables come as a set, but if you lose one, it’s easy to replace.
