Start the event

Once everything is set up, start the event: press the Start Event button in the bottom-right corner of the menu. An Event mode popup opens where you pick the mode.

Event modes

Photobooth and Photobooth (mirror) — very similar modes; only the layout differs. Photobooth draws everything from the center; in mirror mode the interactive controls the guest touches are shifted upward, so they’re easier to reach without bending down. (This matches the screen mode in Application Settings.)
Spinner / robotic arm — a control-panel mode: a panel for the device and the capture. It’s made for an operator/administrator who runs the shoot and talks to guests — telling them to step onto the platform, starting the motion, starting the capture — and it also has a gallery to show guests how they look. That gallery can run on top (overlay) while rendering and capture happen in the background via hotkeys. See Spinner.

The Photobooth flow

This is the guest session in Photobooth mode. Photobooth (mirror) works the same way — only the layout differs.

Start screen. The start button loads. Depending on your settings the header is shown or hidden — it’s hidden on the start screen so the main image stays full-screen and nothing distracts the guest. (Configured in Booth Options → Start.)
Press Start. If several modes are enabled, a choice appears — video, photo, or the gallery (if the gallery is on). The guest picks where to go; say they pick photo.
Disclaimer (if enabled). A disclaimer window appears — the guest must accept or decline. On decline, it moves on. (Configured in the event options.)
Template choice. If several photo templates are available, a template picker appears; if there’s only one, it advances straight to the next screen.
Next screen — this may be the template choice, filling in a survey, or other extras.
Capture then begins. (See Booth Options → Capture.)
Processing screen — you wait for processing to finish; ads are shown here if you enabled them. (See Booth Options → Processing.)
Sharing screen — after successful processing. Depending on the Sharing screen settings, the guest can share, print, and view their content. See Sharing.
End of session. Press Done if it’s available, and you return to the start screen.
